If you are one of the not-so-happy-about-the-Facebook-timeline users, then this article is for you especially if you want to get rid of the Timeline layout. Timeline Remove will help us do the job.
Timeline Remove is a browser extension or plugin for Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera Browser and Internet Explorer. You can download it from TimelineRemove.com.
All Facebook pages have been converted to Timeline since March 30, 2012, some of my Facebook friends are also starting to switch to Timeline profile format without them initiating the action. This updated theme will be a mandatory layout to all Facebook profiles in the near future, just like Facebook pages. "Over the next few weeks, everyone will get timeline. When you get timeline, you'll have seven days to preview what's there now. This gives you a chance to add or hide whatever you want before anyone else sees it.", according to a post on Facebook's official blog.
A lot of users don't like the Facebook timeline based on the comments that I have read from other blogs that mention about this new update. Some of them, like my friends are not aware of this implementation from the social networking giant.
Since there is a demand on how to switch back to the old Facebook theme, lots of different solutions were provided before of which majority of them do not work anymore. Good thing this Timeline Remove still works. Just head over to the Timeline Remove website and download the browser app, select first the browser you want to use it with. Once downloaded exit and relaunch your browser. You can enable or disable the Timeline Remove through its settings(see below).
Please be advised that this solution is for your eyes only and it will not completely remove your Timeline as your profile's configuration is saved on Facebook server. Your friends will still see your profile in Timeline unless they have the same browser extension installed and activated too.
The easiest way to navigate the Facebook in classic style is by simply using the Internet Explorer 7. Explorer 7 does not support Facebook Timeline.
