If the popular MyPhone Rio is not within your budget for its price tag of Php4,999, then this new Android smartphone from MyPhone might be the one for you, meet the MyPhone Rio Lite. That's right! MyPhone has already a sibling for its much successful Agua Rio smartphone and this one is only for Php3,999. That is minus Php1,000 pesos from from first Rio.
As the name suggests, MyPhone Rio Lite offers a slightly downgraded specs just to meet its asking price and to reach more users. This device features a 4.7-inch IPS capacitive display, 512MB RAM and 5MP rear facing camera. Those are the downgraded ones I noticed in this device and the rest remained the same. MyPhone Rio Lite is still an Android 4.2 Jellybean smartphone, powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-core processor, default 4GB of internal storage (expandable), 2MP Front facing camera, 2,000mAh battery.
When the original MyPhone Rio was released, users main complaint was they were not able to download apps and save to the SD card until an Over-The-Air update was released last week, but MyPhone said that this Agua Rio Lite will be able to save apps to the SD card right out of the box.
