Linshof i8 smartphone is announced sporting an octa-core processor, 3GB RAM and 80GB internal storage. Read more details here.
The German company Linshof which is relatively new in the smartphone race has just announced a new smartphone offering called the Linshof i8 that sports a very unique design, a very slim profile and a very unfamiliar yet eye-popping and head turning internal storage size, 80GB right out of the box. What more is that the device is priced at around $380 or about Php17,000 without tax and duties.
So how did Linshof attain that odd 80GB of internal storage? According to a post on Phonearena, the company used a standard 64GB chip plus a 16GB module which are both supplied by SanDisk. Linshof also said that the storage is "dedicated to apps" and "clocked much faster than usual". Whatever those means, users and tech reviewers will for sure know when the actual device is tested.
Powering the Linshof i8 is a 32-bit unnamed Octa-core processor clocked at 2.1GHz. Many are thinking that the SoC will either be a Snapdragon 810 or a combination of high-end MediaTek octa-core processors but that will be completely confirmed once Linshof officially launch the product. Along with that eight-core processor is a yet another bigger 3GB of RAM. Based on the articles that I have read about the smartphone, the internal storage is a non-expandable one.
The cameras are also big on this one with the rear-facing one features 13MP with 28mm wide angle lens, f/1.8 aperture and a Sony CMOS sensor. This should perform very well especially in low-light conditions. The front camera is pegged at 8MP which is also quite big compared to other smartphones on the market especially under the same price category. Linshof also said that the device will be running Android 5.0 Lollipop mobile OS with the company's own UI on top.
