Samsung definitely keeps on pushing the boundaries of the gaming monitor industry as it unleash insane super ultrawide monitors to delight gaming fans with deep pockets. Continuing this trend, Samsung just unloaded a few new ultrawide gaming monitors as they kick off the new year and CES 2023, one of those is the insane 57-inch Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 with a staggering 8K resolution.
"We are introducing the future of gaming monitors with our Odyssey Neo G9, making each game more lifelike with innovative features and picture quality on a new scale," said Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business over at Samsung Electronics, "CES is the perfect place to showcase our innovations that can take not only gamers, but also graphic designers or TV fans to the next level, while providing personalized experience across a range of integrated smart apps."
The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 is capable of delivering 7,860 x 2,160 display resolution and 32:9 aspect ration all in one single screen. That's technically an 8K monitor. The 57-inch screen uses quantum mini LED technology with VESA Display HDR 1000 specs. That's a bit hard to imagine in terms of performance, but what it actually means to say is that it will provide gamers with the best display quality and detail rich gaming and viewing experience possible on an ultrawide monitor.
In addition, the monitor also boasts world's first DisplayPort 2.1 support, which according to Samsung, is capable of data transfer twice as fast as the previously used DisplayPort 1.4. There is also the brand new DP2.1 which allows lossless industry-standard Display Stream Compression (DSC) to transmit information without distortion.
