Meet The Thinnest Android Smartphone, Huawei Ascend P6

Huawei officially confirmed the Ascend P6 after tons of rumors before about the coming of the device. And yes it is the thinnest Android smartphone to date bearing only 6.18mm or 0.24 inch thick across the device and with a weight of around 120 grams. That's the Huawei Ascend P6.

Ascend P6 housed a 4.7-inch LCD Screen along a metallic body plus it features a new technology called "MagicTouch," which makes the touch-enabled screen very sensitive to respond even if a user is wearing gloves. Under the hood are the 1.5GHz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM, a Google Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system while the whole system is supported by a 2000mAh battery.

The cameras are powered with 8MP (rear BSI autofocus with flash) and 5MP (front) resolutions snappers. Also capable of HD recording at 1080p format. The storage section comes in 8GB but still expandable via microSD card. If we can take a closer look at the phone especially its physical design, it reminds us of an iPhone 4. Many people will most likely confuse the phone with an Apple-made one until the logo is seen on the back pane or the Huawei name on the front side of the device. I have no problem with than as I am more particular in performance and durability of a device, as long as the gadget can prove that then I am all okay with it.

According to review on Engadget, the Ascend P6 does not support LTE but was able enough to provide the speed they need when using the Android phone. Now if you are wondering how much the phone would cost us Filipino users and when can we start buying this at our local tech stores, as per report on Gizmodo.com, Huawei Ascend P6 will be retailed for around $600 but of course it's not always the same when a device hits our store shelves so it could be higher than that. we won't be able to get our hands on the smartphone at least until the end of July as Huawei will release it first in 9 European countries by then and then another 100 countries will follow starting in August. As soon as we have the Philippine information on this phone we will know.
