The movie/documentary based on the life and story of the Filipino pride Manny Pacquiao which is narrated by Hollywood actor Liam Neesom has hit online. I think this is the first time the Filipino boxer's life will be featured in international movie theaters. I recall his life story has been adapted by our local media in the past such as the one on Magpakailanman, a weekly drama show from GMA and a movie titled "Pacquiao: The Movie" in 2006 with Jericho Rosales playing as Manny plus some other documentaries here and abroad that I don't even remember anymore.
The trailer features interviews with famous people like Mark Walhberg, Alex Ariza, Bert Sugar, Winnie Monsod and coach Freddie Roach. This is going to be an inspirational documentary for all the fans and non-fans as it will exactly tell the rise to fame by Manny and all other controversies that have hit him. I will definitely watch this one once it comes out here in the Philippines.
As of writing an official release date has not been announced yet. However as per its official Facebook page, MANNY will have world premiere at SXSW Film Festival (USA) in March. All we know is that this will be for this year. I will update this post as soon as we have the information.
