HTC One M8 is the newest flagship smartphone from the Taiwanese company and packs a monster of specs. Now also available in Google Play Edition.
Here's another Google Play Edition of an HTC flagship smartphone, the HTC One M8. This device was officially announced by the Taiwanese phone manufacturer on March 25. This is a best way for users who want to get this new amazing smartphone without those built in apps pre-installed by HTC when they manufactured it. Users will be able to experience pure Android on this device as it will sport Google's very own Android 4.4 Kitkat which does not include HTC's Sense UI skin and not only that, once a new software update from Google comes out in the future, this kind of Google Play Edition smartphone will be the first in line to receive the update.
So Aside from that raw Android software what other things you will get out of this HTC One M8? Its technical specs are also big in this one, and that is without a question. First in line is the 5-inch Full HD Super LCD Display with 1920x1080 pixel resolution, a quad-core Snapdargon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz and a 2GB RAM. On top of the default 16GB or 32GB storage, users can use a microSD card for another up to 128GB. On the front panel will provide users with a 5MP camera which features wide angle lens. There is also BoomSound speakers and a 2,600mAh battery.
First to a smartphone (I think) is its Duo Camera or two rear lenses, and interesting part here is that the Android that will run this device will be slightly tweaked to work perfectly with its two cameras on the back. The first snapper is an UltraPixel rear camera with 4 megapixels in resolution, equipped with dual flash and ability to record 1080p videos. Although it only features 4MP camera, HTC is selling this device with bigger pixels than the usual high-end smartphones that we have today. The company claims that its cameras with these bigger pixels will perform very good at low light environment. The secondary camera helps to capture in depth details of the subject.
